Trips outside Prague

Terezin

This infamous place connected in people’s minds to World War II and the misery of tens of thousands Jews from all over the Europe, also hides a prison where Gavrilo Princip, the assassin of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, whose death triggered WWI, was imprisoned. Our visit to this town 60 km away from Prague covers the Small Fortress that became famous under the Habsburg monarchy as a prison for political prisoners, as well as the Main Fortress, at present invisible under the coat of modern day Terezín’s life, conveys the memories of distress by several sites: the National Cemetery, The Ghetto Museum, the Park of the Terezin Children or many more.

The tour can be modified according to your interests and combined with lunch in a lovely town Litomerice.
